A talk on the Girl Guide movement

We had a very enjoyable meeting when Alison Lumby, a Mothers' Union
member spoke to us about the Girl Guide movement.

Alison became a girl guide as a child, she volunteered as a leader and is now District
Commissioner. What an achievement. The girl guides are celebrating
their Centenary and they have come a long way from the days of their
founder Lady Baden-Powell but their objectives are  still the same to
learn new skills, gain confidence and have fun.
