September
Deanery Festival

L-R Sarah Rogerson, Anne Swann and Helen Harwood
On September 20th we held our Deanery Festival in
St Mary's Church. It was a beautiful service, and our thanks go to Betty
Brockman who led us in worship and who was invaluable helping us with the
organisation of the service. Our speaker was Sarah Rogerson our Diocesan
president who gave a wonderful talk about the work of the Mothers' Union both
here and overseas. She spoke about the different projects initiated by the
Mothers Union, and how we should all be proud to belong to such a wonderful
organisation. Sarah also enrolled Anne Swann as a new member of St Mary's
Mothers' Union, making our Deanery Festival extra special as we were all able
to renew our promises and to welcome Anne as a new member. The evening ended
with fellowship, tea and cakes.
