February 7th  t-Time

Sunday T Time February 7th was the first t time of 2010 and it was lovely to see everyone. We looked at the story of John the Baptist meeting Jesus and baptising him in the river Jordan. We learnt a little more about John the Baptist and where he lived in the wilderness and what he ate - locusts and honey apparently!! We played a food tasting game where we were blindfolded and had to guess what we were eating (Blackcurrant Jelly; honey and Crunchie - very nice) and we wrote prayers on honey pots to give thanks for all we have.
There were the usual quizzes and word searches and other activities and a quiet corner to say prayers for others.

Can you tell what it is?

February 21st  t-Time

In this weeks T-Time we talked about Lent and about Jesus in the wilderness. We also looked at our Lent project this year which is raising money for WaterAid.  WaterAid does great work ensuring that some of the poorest communities have access to fresh clean water and sanitation. Last year families at T time families helped to raise a lot of money for this good cause and we hope to better that this year. We gave out smartie tubes and jars to be filled with small change over the Lent period leading up to Easter. On the theme of water at T time we wrote some prayers to thank God for the water that we have and also had a competition to think of all the different uses of water. We finished off with some pancakes cooked by Celia and Andrea and flipped by Katy (none ended up on the floor) and people came back for 2nds, 3rds and 4ths!

In January a group from t-Time went to see 'Danny the champion of the world' by Roald Dahl at Doncaster Civic Theatre. Afterwards they went back to the church hall for hot dogs!

Next t-Time is on March 7th and 21st

come and join us!
