June 6th  t-Time

We began with Psalm 23,

The Lord is my shepherd; I have everything I need.  He lets me rest in fields of green grass and leads me to quiet pools of fresh water.  He gives me new strength. He guides me in the right paths, as he has promised.  Even if I go through the deepest darkness, I will not be afraid, Lord, for you are with me. Your shepherd's rod and staff protect me.  You prepare a banquet for me, where all my enemies can see me; you welcome me as an honoured guest and fill my cup to the brim.   I know that your goodness and love will be with me all my life; and your house will be my home as long as I live.

where there was a chance to give thanks for the world that has been created for us, after viewing some of the wonderful landscapes and sunsets from around the world. There was a chance to search for sheep, say sorry and return the sheep to the fold. Alongside this there was a chance to raise voices in song, and the usual word searches, colouring and puzzles about the psalm.

Psalm 148: A Call for the Universe to Praise God

Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from heaven, you that live in the heights above.   Praise him, all his angels, all his heavenly armies.  Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, shining stars.   Praise him, highest heavens, and the waters above the sky.  Let them all praise the name of the Lord!
He commanded, and they were created;   by his command they were fixed in their places for ever, and they cannot disobey.  Praise the Lord from the earth, sea monsters and all ocean depths;   lightning and hail, snow and clouds, strong winds that obey his command.   Praise him, hills and mountains, fruit trees and forests;   all animals, tame and wild, reptiles and birds.    Praise him, kings and all peoples, princes and all other rulers;   young women and young men, old people and children too.    Let them all praise the name of the Lord! His name is greater than all others; his glory is above earth and heaven.    He made his nation strong, so that all his people praise him — the people of Israel, so dear to him. Praise the Lord!

We began with 'Who Put the Colours in the Rainbow?' accompanied by several guitars. Activities included; creating a mobile to give thanks for our world, making rainbow bookmarks to take home and remind us of our activities and making a sorry tree for the things we needed to ask forgiveness about.

Who put the colors in the rainbow?
Who put the salt into the sea?
Who put the cold into the snowflake?
Who made you and me?
Who put the hump upon the camel?
Who put the neck on the giraffe?
Who put the tail upon the monkey?
Who made hyenas laugh?
Who made whales and snails and quails?
Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?
Who made bats and rats and cats?
Who made everything?
